WMU Calendar
On Tuesday, September 29th we have 9 ladies that will be helping with Sandhill's Habitat for Humanity with project "Women Build".
WMU October
Women's Ministry........On Saturday, October 10th from 12-2 we will be having our ladies luncheon. Please come. This luncheon is for all ladies of all ages. Oct. is breast cancer awareness and domestic violence awareness month. We will be honoring our breast cancer survivors. If you know of anyone that is a breast cancer survivor please let me know as we would like to send them a personal invitation. We will have a speaker "Yvonne Gale" from "Friend to Friend", "Friend to Friend" is crisis services agency for Moore County that provides services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. We will be collecting items that are on their wish list. (childcare provided)
Sunday October 18th at 2:00pm our association will be hosting a world crafts party at the Carthage office.
There are several mission opportunities for the month of October.
Sunday October 11th is World Hunger Sunday. We will be passing out bread bowl banks. We ask that you use it to collect spare change in (like the baby bottles for Crisis Pregnancy Center). We will take these up at the end of the month.
Through out the month of October "The Coalition" has asked our church if we could help with collecting boys and girls children's underwear of all sizes. This is just one of many items that families in crisis have need of. We will have boxes at the exits of the church to collect these items in. ( We still provide boxes of mashed potatoes each month)
Throughout October we will also be collecting hard candy for WMU's "Red Box" Prison ministry. With the Red Box prison ministry each association in NC is asked to collect different items to fill a red box that will be given to the inmates at the NC correctional institute for women and the Raleigh correctional center for women. Each piece of hard candy needs to be individually wrapped. Each inmate will receive a full bag of candy. We will collect these by Oct. 31st.
Our Acteens are sewing pillow cases for Cameron Boys Camp.
Our regular Women on Mission night meeting will be Thursday, October 15th at 7:00pm.
Baptist Young Women will be Wednesday, October 14th at 7:00pm during prayer while children are in their age level classes.

November activities
On Sunday, November 1, Baptist Women's "World Day of Prayer", held at the associational office in Carthage. "Seeing God's creation with new eyes. Psalms 24. (World day of prayer is actually recognized on Nov. 2)
November 6-8, Baptist State Convention
Women's Ministry
Friday and Saturday, Novemver 6 and 7th, Women of Faith Conference in Greensboro. We have 25 ladies attending.
Saturday, November 14th will be our ladies luncheon from 12-2.
Wednesday, November 11th at 7 will be Baptist Young Women
Thursday, November 19th Women on Mission meeting at 7pm
November Missions
Samaritans Purse Operation Christmas Child
November 16th-23rd Week of prayer and special offering for Baptist Children's Homes. We will be doing something for Baptist Children's home. Will check with Gwen and WMU mission group.
Throughout the month of November we will also be helping to put together some Christmas boxes for an orphanage in Bolivia.
Thursday November 26th, Thanksgiving Outreach Meal at Church.
December WMU

Missions for December
November 29th through December 6th International Missions Emphasis and Lottie Moon Christmas offering.
Wednesday, December 2nd, ??? Mission Dinner and prayer time for Lottie Moon. Will have to confirm with Jan and the GA/RA/Youth.
We will again be assisting several families with children with their Christmas.
