We, as the congregation of First Baptist, try and live out the great commission to go and tell the world about the good news of Jesus.  We support missions in a number of different avenues through monetary support and through hands on experiences.

Cooperative Program Giving:  A portion of our total budget goes to support the Southern Baptist mission efforts through the Cooperative Program.  The Cooperative Program supports a number of mission organizations such as the International Mission Board, the North American Mission Board, and our SBC seminaries.

Associational Missions:  Three percent of our total budget goes to support mission work within our own county through giving to our associational mission group.  This helps support mission work mainly in Moore County.

Local Mission support:  We support a number of local agencies that are endeavoring to meet specific needs in Moore County.  We help fund: Sandhills Moore Coalition, Crisis Pregnancy Center, Backpack Pals, the local food bank, Sandhills Teen Challenge, and the Moore Free Clinic.

Special Ministry Outreach Programs:  As a church, we participate in Operation In-As-Much, Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child, North Carolina Baptist Men’s Disaster Relief, and a Thanksgiving Day meal for local families.  We have try to have outreach into local communities through block parties and prayer walking.

Lottie Moon Christmas Offering:  We support over 5,000 International missionaries through giving to the Lottie Moon Christmas offering.  This is an offering taken during the month of December where 100% of the offering goes directly for support of missionaries.

Annie Armstrong Easter Offering:  We support over 5,000 North American missionaries through giving to the Annie Armstrong Easter offering.  This is a special offering promoted around the celebration of Easter where 100 % of the offering goes directly for support of missionaries serving in the Untied States and Canada.

North Carolina Baptist Missions Offering:  We support missions through out the state of North Carolina through the giving to the NC Baptist Missions Offering.  This offering is promoted during September and goes to support a number of different mission endeavors within our state.  Much of the money goes for new church starts and Baptist Disaster Relief efforts.

Thanksgiving Baptist Children’s Homes Offering:  We support the ministry to children given by our North Carolina Baptist Children’s homes.  These homes provide a safe place for children to grow and live in during difficult times out of homes from which they may have come.
